Quick workflow

  1. Choose a common cylindrical cell preset or enter a measured custom diameter and height.
  2. Set the plate dimensions directly or drag the right, bottom, and corner handles in the 2D preview.
  3. Keep the rectangular plate or switch to Custom, then drag, add, and remove polygon points to shape the outside boundary.
  4. Choose offset or grid packing, then tune the cell gap, fit clearance, edge wall, and plate thickness.
  5. Enable the cell stop lip when the plate should keep cells from sliding through the opening.
  6. Choose STL, STEP, and/or DXF and export with Pro or a $2.99 pack of three export credits.

Fit and retention controls

Hole clearance

Adds a small amount to the measured cell diameter. This controls assembly fit without changing the packing pitch.

Cell gap

Sets the outside-to-outside gap between neighboring cells. BatteryBee keeps at least 0.4 mm of material between generated holes.

Edge wall

Sets the minimum material from a hole edge to the rectangular or custom outside boundary.

Cell stop lip

Adds an annular ledge around every opening. Stop overlap controls how far it reaches inward; stop height controls its protrusion.
Print a fit test first
Cell wraps, manufacturing tolerances, printer calibration, filament shrinkage, and print orientation all affect the final fit. Measure actual cells and validate a small sample before printing a full plate.
